Our mission here at KSJ is to create a platform for discussion on the challenges that applied linguists are facing and the successes they have achieved.
The target audience of the journal are both experienced and novice language researchers, applied linguists, teachers, translators, culture specialists and all others that see language as the main object of their research. The motif or axis that connects all the above is to be reflection on language.
Such a broad scope of activity allows for contributions that are strictly linguistic as well as those with a pedagogical or cultural turn. We hope that this will let the journal fill a certain gap on the map of Polish scientific journals. At the same time, using language as a point of reference, we assume that such a wide range of interest of the journal, from educational and translation practices to culturally-conditioned use of language in media is necessary for a holistic approach to language research.
